Index Based Fuel SurchargeImplementation of the Index Based Fuel Surcharge from 1st April 2006
Changes in the fuel prices have resulted in increased costs for the transport industry in the last years. Up to now we have absorbed the full impact of these increases, but unfortunately this is not longer possible.
Due to this fact, GLS Ireland has implemented a flexible fuel surcharge to be levied on all shipments as at the 1st April 2006.
Due to further increases in fuel prices, it was necessary to implement a flexible fuel surcharge. GLS Ireland has adjusted accordingly the surcharge in line with future movements in fuel prices. The surcharge is linked to the monthly updates published by AA Roadwatch. Once the new indexes are published, GLS Ireland calculates the new fuel surcharge which are validated immediately.
